Safety Officer Role
Purpose
To maintain a healthy & safety environment in the workplace and construction sites through Administrative, Client liaising in regards with Safety files, Quality control plans and HR related matters.
Basic functions, duties & responsibilities
- Conduct Weekly toolbox talks (Monday’s)
- Managing & issuing of personal protective equipment (when required)
- Record and investigate incidents to determine the causes and submit necessary compensation documentation to RMA.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous and unhealthy.
- Conduct Risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
- Review existing policies, procedures and update according to legislation.
- Compile safety files for Construction sites
- Compile and update safety files for current Clients.
- Handling of external audits (Department of labour) – as and when required.
- Compiling of data packs (QCPs) and submitting to Sites.
- Fleet Management (Cartrack) – Monthly cost saving.
- Assist in Skills development programs with MERSETA.
- Draft Safe work procedures for each task.
- Conduct H&S rep meetings (3monthly)
- Random drug and alcohol breathalyzer testing.
- Arrange pre-employments & yearly medicals.
- Assist in HR related matters (Disciplinary enquiries).
- Site visits as and when required (safety file audits)
- Arrange induction for sites.
- Manage training i.e. working at heights, Overhead Crane, Forklift, etc.
- Attend client meetings (WW)
Requirements and Skills
- In depth knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 1993.
- Minimum of 3yrs experience as a Safety Officer / Manager.
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
- Good oral & written communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
- Implementing Health & Safety Systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word.

Service Administrator
Basic functions, duties & responsibilities
- Typing quotes on QuickEasy for the sales team, Email to customers, print and file quotes
- Woolworths Quotes, Woolworths Invoicing and Follow up on outstanding orders.
- Data Capturing – updating daily quotes sheet (maintenance sheet) , updating Active and Target account spreadsheets, updating of Woolworths order intake sheet.
- Client Queries & Requests: Assist Clients with all Requests & Queries - hand off to correct person if required
- Telesales Contact existing clients and promote service and repairs
- Job Cards: Write Out Job Cards with correct information daily to be ready for planning, signing job cards out and back in once received to be handed in for scanning. This is a daily task
- Filing & Archiving: File all Quotes, Service Reports & Invoices, save electronic copy onto server
- Following up on outstanding purchase orders for breakdown quotations to be invoiced as well as general quotations to bring in work
Requirements and Skills
- Female age between 34 – 40 years old
- Previous administrative assistant experience essential
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be willing to work Saturdays when required (sometime 3-4 hours occasionally when called for)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Must have a keen eye for detail and be able to take instruction
- Reside in the Alberton Area

Technician Position

Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualified and trade tested Millwright, Fitter or Electrician
- Minimum of 5 year’s post-trade experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Willingness to weekends, or overtime if required.
- Sound knowledge of electrical work (fault finding, basic electrical maintenance)
- Experience within a manufacturing / production environment is essential
- Working within a team environment, project management skills an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- New Installations, repairs and maintenance of sectional doors, high speed doors, dock levellers, scissor lifts.
- Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with production and technical teams
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Work closely with production and sales teams to improve equipment performance.
- Performing scheduled, preventive, and emergency repairs on machinery or systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintaining detailed records of service, repairs, and, maintenance, history,
- Adhering to safety standards, environmental regulations, and, using, appropriate, protective, equipment.
- Meticulousness in following procedures, ensuring repairs are done correctly the first time to prevent safety hazards or recurring issues.
- The ability to explain technical problems and solutions clearly to clients and team members, providing excellent customer service.
- Self-motivation to work alone, manage service calls, and prioritize tasks effectively without constant supervision.
- The capacity to analyse problems, think on their feet, and find practical, sometimes creative, solutions to unexpected challenges.

Mechanical Design Draftsmen
Job Description
- Must have AutoCAD and inventor experience.
- Proficiency in using Autodesk INVENTOR software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings
- Vault experience will be a benefit.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
